Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Pastor Kevin grew up and graduated from high school in southern West Virginia. While earning his B.A. in communications at Lee University, Kevin sang in Campus Choir then moved to the Lee Singers, where he was accompanist for three years and student director his senior year. Kevin was also part of Second Edition, a traveling ensemble from Lee Singers, for three years.
Pastor Kevin first came to Wings of Faith Fellowship in August 1990 when he served dual roles – minister of music and youth pastor. In May 1991, he moved to Orlando to become the accompanist and assistant minister of music at Calvary Assembly for the next four years. During this time, he also played piano at various Walt Disney World locations and hotels. After Calvary, he went back to school and earned his Master’s Degree in broadcast journalism, graduating with highest honors from The University of Miami.
In June 1996, Kevin moved back to Ocala to work as a news anchor and reporter for WCJB TV20, an ABC affiliate in the Gainesville-Ocala market. He earned two first-place Associated Press awards for his work there. In 2001, he became the public relations and communications officer for Marion County Public Schools, which has over 42,000 students and 6,000 employees.
Kevin currently serves as the music pastor at Wings of Faith, directing the complete music program and leading praise and worship for weekly services.
Pastor Kevin also has five CD projects to his credit, including a Christmas album and “The Colours of Love,” his latest recording.
