Pastor Shrable, better known as "Pastor Rocky," and his lovely wife, Rebecca, have served as our Lead Pastor for the last three years. Pastor Rocky and Rebecca met at Lee College where he recieved his Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. Prior to his ministry here at WOFF, he served as Senior Pastor of the Jubilee Family Church in Grand Junction, Colorado for ten years, and as the Senior Pastor of the Christian Worship Center in Ogden, Utah for eight years. He has served in many other positions both inside and outside the church.
Pastor Rocky and Rebecca have been married for twenty-five years and have three wonderful children: Josh, Julie, and Jessica, a new daughter-in-law, Bethany, and are expecting their first grandchild in April of 2010.
Pastor Rocky enjoys doing a variety of things -- golfing, biking, motorcycling -- but what takes most of his spare time are his three horses. He enjoys riding western-style and is always open to taking others along and allowing them a little horse "therapy."
Pastor Matthew Cornett and his wife Kerin have two children, Isabella-6 and Lucas-3. Matthew and Kerin have been actively involved in student ministry for almost ten years. Both Matthew and Kerin have their bachelor degrees from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Matthew earned his degree in 1999 in Bible & Theology and Kerin earned hers in 2000 in Sociology.
The Cornett's moved to Ocala, FL over three years ago to lead the Junior High through College and Career students into a "life long journey" with Christ. Their ministry focuses on the personal discipleship of students and their promotion into the work of Jesus Christ in their world.
Bethany and her husband, Josh, were both raised as the children and grandchildren of ministers and grew up working alongside their families in ministry. Bethany's family settled in Florida and began attending Wings of Faith five years ago. She has served as the administrative assistant for the past three years. Bethany and Josh both volunteer as youth leaders for Journey Student Ministries and have participated in several short-term mission trips with the church to Venezuela, Ecuador, Honduras and Nicaragua.
They are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in April of 2010.
Pastor Leon Bell and his wife Marie have two children and six grandchildren. They have lived in Ocala for over 30 years. Together they have been ministering to children for more than 25 years. Zoom Children’s Ministry is the heart of Pastor Bell with a desire for kids to zoom in (draw closer) to God, by building a closer relationship with Him.
James 4:8a
"Come near to God and He will come near to you."
Pastor Leon is an ordained Bishop in the Church of God, has served as a children's evangelist for Florida and Georgia serving in youth camps and children's crusades. He has also served as the Chairman of the Florida Children's Leader's Association.
Glenna has served as the director of Little Wings of Faith Learning Center since 1997. From a very early age she has had a great concern for the welfare of young children. She began her carrier in childhood education in 1986 and was the director of two learning centers prior to her ministry at WOFF.
She and her husband David are native, "Ocala Folks," and have been members of WOFF since June 1991. They are very appreciative of the relationships they have built over these years at WOFF. They have three sons (Jay, Allen and Steven) two daughters-in-law, (Nikki and Jess) and four beautiful grandchildren, (Tyler, Taylor, Trevor and Wyatt).
Since they became members of WOFF Glenna and David have also been involved in many other ministry areas including Men's and Women's Ministries, Special Events, Vacation Bible School, Zoom Children's Ministries, Missions, Ushers, etc.
Glenna would like to give you an open invitation to come visit her at Little Wings of Faith Learning Center. Come and tour this wonderful facility where children learn and have fun!
David Smoot was ordained into the ministry in 1975, and served seventeen years as an associate pastor in Decatur, Georgia before going full-time in missions in 1992. He has served as Missions Pastor of Wings of Faith Fellowship in Ocala, Florida since 1995.
In 1999, David and his wife, Diane, founded Net Work Limited, a missions organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel through synergism: the multiplication of power through the combined efforts of many. Today they participate with several organizations, leading teams and sharing their vision:
•To train indigenous church leadership through conference settings and Bible institutes;
•To help relieve the suffering of the children of the two-thirds world;
•To introduce and educate American believers about the world of foreign missions.
David’s foreign missions travels have taken him to Barbados, Cuba, Jamaica, St. Vincent and Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean; as well as ministry in Brazil, England, Ghana, Hungary, India, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Romania and Wales.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Pastor Kevin grew up and graduated from high school in southern West Virginia. While earning his B.A. in communications at Lee University, Kevin sang in Campus Choir then moved to the Lee Singers, where he was accompanist for three years and student director his senior year. Kevin was also part of Second Edition, a traveling ensemble from Lee Singers, for three years.
Pastor Kevin first came to Wings of Faith Fellowship in August 1990 when he served dual roles – minister of music and youth pastor. In May 1991, he moved to Orlando to become the accompanist and assistant minister of music at Calvary Assembly for the next four years. During this time, he also played piano at various Walt Disney World locations and hotels. After Calvary, he went back to school and earned his Master’s Degree in broadcast journalism, graduating with highest honors from The University of Miami.
In June 1996, Kevin moved back to Ocala to work as a news anchor and reporter for WCJB TV20, an ABC affiliate in the Gainesville-Ocala market. He earned two first-place Associated Press awards for his work there. In addition, she traveled to Austria, Hungary and Romania on mission trips. In 1992 God touched Diane’s heart for the orphaned children of Romania while she watched a 60 Minutes expose titled The Forgotten Children of Romania. Shortly after that time, she was invitied to go to Romania to minister to the needs of these children. Since that initial trip she has returned to the Transylvania region every year, leading short-term teams. After serving as Senior Pastor of Wings of Fellowship for twenty-one years Pastor Johnson has transitioned into a full-time missions calling and has relinquished the pastorate to Lead Pastor Rocky Shrable. As Founding Pastor he is still going to call Ocala home and more importantly Wings of Faith home.
